Future Of Wedding Photography
The future of wedding photography is an uncertain one. Twenty years ago everything was shot on film and posing was very formal, there wasn't too much room for creativity back then. The advancement of digital photography opened up a whole new world for wedding photography, not only for instant reviewing on the back of the camera, but also for post production, (the editing and styling of an image after it is taken to create 'Photographic Art'). Peoples' lifestyles and likes have also changed in these times, a lot like fashion.
Social media has also changed the de rigeur style and physical medium in which people want to receive their wedding photography, not just the aspect of wanting digital negatives so they can be uploaded to the internet, but also with the influence of sites like Pinterest, which provide access to wedding photography shots from all over the world, many people see a picture online and want to recreate it.
Wedding photography is continually changing and a wedding photographer's job is to continue evolving along with that. As for the future we can only speculate. With new technology and new post production techniques, only time will tell what the future holds, all we know for certain is; it is and will always be changing.
